What Is Right With Our Education System And What Is Wrong.

First off let me say that i dont think school is just babysitting because its not! only if u let it be then it is! School is very important it is key to get ahead in life. Everything you are depends on how well or how bad you do in school. School (K-12) is where we get our common knowledge as in what we need to know in general for life. And college is where one learns a profession as in what you will work as the rest of your life. And yes some subjects one is forced to learn will be forgotten and never used again but I believe we are forced to learn all these different subjects so we can have an introduction/ understanding of what we may leter on want to study in college. School forces you to open your mind. So what I am basically saying is that our education system is right. Everything but the disciplinary field. In my opinion i think my school is crazy in the way it goes about discipling students, and this irritates me a lot. What irritates me the most is tardy tank. Tardy tank is where all the students go to if they are late to school and dont have a parent to sign them in. so in other words if u are 30 seconds late to school or lets say Homeroom and dont have a parent to sign you in, you have to spend the whole period doing absolutely nothing. You get to miss your first period class. now tell me how that makes any sense. I agree in giving detentions or virtually anything else but how does it make sense to hold up a group of students and decide they arent going to learn because they are 30+ seconds late, it just doesnt make any sense. There is no argument. Another thing That is wrong with the school system is the stupid little rules that they come up with like the fact that you have to have closed toe shoes and you cant wear hats or little nonsense like that. I understand the dress code forbidding revealing clothes because it is a total problem causer! for example a girl is wearing a shirt that reveals her belly button, its amazing how disrespectful guys can be and i have seen how guys think that because a girl is showing them their waist it means they can go ahead and touch it which then causes problems because the girl then feels harrased or even if a guy makes a sexual comment or even stares. But thats not what i am talking about I am talking about shoes and hats. the other day i guy in my sixth period was wearing a hat in class and the teacher was giving a lecture. the teacher completely stopped his lecture to tell the person to tak off the hat because hats arent allowed in school,the boy then asked but why. What is the problem the teacher then said because it is a distraction. A distraction!? to who is my question if hats were allowed everything would have continued as if he werent wearing the hat in the first place.The distraction came into play when the teacher asked him to take off the hat! and with shoes its the same what is so wrong with wearing open toed or open back shoes if the person gets his toes stepped on i think thats his own fault and he/she will probobly stop wearing open toed shoes (the problem is self resolved) but instead they give out detentions making everyones life a hassle. That is what is wrong with our school system.
